PIA plane crash near Karachi Airport

Pakistan International Airlines passenger plane coming from Lahore crashed near Karachi Airport.

According to News, a PIA passenger plane coming from Lahore to Karachi when crashed in a residential colony of the Model Town area adjacent to the airport before landing. The plane also destroyed several houses in the area.

Said the flight was operated exclusively on the Eid occasion. Its, took off at 1:10 pm and reached Karachi on time, However, the flight contact with the control room lost just moments before landing.

According to sources, the plane suffered a technical malfunction and the tires of the plane were not opening, while the pilot of the plane had also called the traffic control 'May Day'.

Civil aviation stopped air operations after the plane crash in Karachi; Also PIA stopped their air operations from different cities like Lahore, Islamabad, Peshawar and Quetta.

Civil Aviation also confirmed the crash of PIA's Airbus A320. The plane was carrying 99 passengers and eight crew members.

Army Quick Reaction Force, Sind Rangers, and Sind youth have reached the spot that will assist the civil administration in relief activities.
