Police broke down the door of Maryam Nawaz's room and arrested Captain Safdar

PTI leaders have registered a case against Maryam Nawaz, Captain Safdar, and more than 200 people for desecrating Mazar-e-Quaid.

In a case of desecration Mazar-e-Quaid, Sindh Police broke down the door of PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz's room and arrested her husband and Member National Assembly Captain (retd) Muhammad Safdar.

Maryam Nawaz tweeted that the police broke down the door of our room in the hotel and arrested Captain (R) Safdar.

She also shared a video of the hotel room. The two political leaders had come to Karachi to attend a meeting of the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM). Capt. (R) Safdar also chanted slogans of "Respect the Vote, Long Live the Mother Nation" and "Long Live the Deadly Martial Law".

The operation has been carried out by the police investigation of the police brigade. PTI leaders have registered a case against more than 200 PML-N workers, including Maryam Nawaz and her husband Captain Safdar, for desecrating Mazar-e-Quaid.

PTI leaders Khurram Sher Zaman, Aleem Adil Sheikh, Raja Azhar, and others had reached the brigade police station to register a case against PML-N leader Maryam Nawaz, her husband Captain (retd) Safdar and others for violating the sanctity of Mazar-e-Quaid. At first, the police refused to register a case, but PTI leaders and workers protested outside the police station for more than ten hours, after which the case was registered.

Federal Minister Ali Zaidi had also warned to raise the issue of making IG Sindh an OSD in the cabinet if the case is not registered. Granted, a formal written request was also submitted by the leaders. On one occasion, there was a bitter exchange between Aleem Adil Sheikh and SHO Brigade Inspector Khawaja Saeed.

The petition states that Maryam Nawaz, Capt. Safdar, Maryam Aurangzeb, Ali Akbar Gujjar, and more than 200 other unidentified persons violated the sanctity of Mazar-e-Quaid. Talking to media persons, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs Ali Zaidi warned IG Sindh and Chief Secretary Sindh that if by morning If the case is not registered, I will take up the issue of making OSD in the cabinet meeting.

Ali Zaidi while talking to media said that we did not stop what the government did in Gujranwala. We don't care if we have to hold a meeting. Strict action should be taken against the minor action taken today at Mazar-e-Quaid.

Meanwhile, the administrative officer of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah's mausoleum has also submitted a petition to the brigade police station for legal action against the PML-N leaders.

It may be recalled that during the visit of Maryam Nawaz to Mazar-e-Quaid yesterday, Captain (Retd) Muhammad Safdar had started chanting slogans and had chanted "Respect the Vote" in the premises of Mazar-e-Quaid.

He entered the compound of the tomb of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the founder of Pakistan, then crossed the nets around the tomb and stood by the tomb and shouted slogans. Workers there also chanted slogans respecting the vote. On this occasion, Maryam Nawaz, Maryam Aurangzeb, Nihal Hashmi and Ali Akbar Gujjar were present inside the central lattice around the grave of the founder of Pakistan.
