History

The word Taliban means "students", and the word Taliban belongs to the Pashto language. The organization was formed in 1994 in Gander, in the southern part of Afghanistan. Mujahideen

Many members of the Mujahideen joined the Taliban in the 1980s. The Mujahideen organization once operated with the support of the US government.
