Badla can be described as a pretty strong script and indeed the best. It is undeniable that works like Badla are not works that we can always watch. Badla is like a dish that is quite flavorful, there is sour, sweet and everything is mixed quite well and satisfactorily. What's more, this film manages to provide a puzzle that is the strength of this film.

The story of Badla tells the story of a lawyer, Badla who wants to get the testimony of a woman named Naina in an apartment. The conversation between Naina and Badla is the core of the film's journey as it is interspersed with flashbacks of the incident that led to the court case. And throughout the conversation, the mystery of who the culprit was is slowly unraveled.

Watching this movie on Netflix keeps me constantly puzzled about what happened. We are brought to play with the truth and the trap between believing and not believing. Everything in this movie is a thing that can only be resolved at the end of the movie!

This Sujoy Ghosh -directed film is the official adaptation of the film The Invisible Guest which was released in 2017. For now, Badla is the first remake of this script. In August 2019, a remake for the Tamil version was also released featuring more or less the same plot and concept.

Although Badla is a remake film, the film manages to stand out with its own strengths. Its Bollywood elements keep it away from the original film and managed to breathe new life into this Bollywood film. Believe me, watching The Invisible Guest and Badla will give a different feel even though the storytelling is the same.

Taapsee Pannu Interview Drama Thriller Badla

Armed with the strength of the coupling of Amitabh Bachchan and Taapsee Pannu, the film manages to give the audience heartbeat after heartbeat throughout the film. Badla’s story may have a simple plot, but its flashback is full of twists and turns and makes the audience try to put together all the puzzles given.

Because the film emphasizes the conversation between Naina and Badla, the dialogue provided is successful in making the audience always listen and research what is going on. The strong dialogue makes the film not boring and makes the audience look forward to its ending.

In fact, Amitabh Bachchan also put on a pretty solid performance. It can be said that this film really focuses on his acting that is not age-appropriate. His style and character are still relevant and make his acting one of the x-factors of this film. Taapsee Pannu also put on solid and pretty good acting!

For fans of mystery thriller movies, Badla is indeed a recommended film. This is a pretty good script and full of mystery. With a fresh twist and also unpredictable, Badla features a solid thriller as well as solid senior and junior acting! Great twist, great plot.
